Space Generation Congress 2008, Glasgow, Scottland

The Space Generation Congress 2008 will be held in Glasgow, Scotland from 25 to 27 September in conjunction with the International Astronautical Congress (IAC) and builds on the work of the Space Generation Summit (SGS) held as part of the World Space Summit in Houston in 2002, the Space Generation Congress (SGC) held in Bremen, Germany in 2003, in Vancouver, Canada in 2004, in Fukuoka, Japan in 2005, in Valencia, Spain in 2006, and Hyderabad, India in 2007. The Space Generation Congress focuses on developing the future leaders of space exploration. Through a series of workshops, the delegates will learn skills ranging from working in an international and intercultural environment to starting their own business or organisation. SGC will enable working groups to meet in person to work on their respective projects, and present their work to their colleagues and the international space community gathered at IAC.

This event is organised by the Space Generation Advisory Council (SGAC) in support of the United Nations Programme on Space Applications - the body through which students' and young professionals' views are represented to the United Nations Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space (UN COPUOS).

In the coming weeks, this page will have information on applying to be a delegate, proposing a project to SGAC, sponsoring the Space Generation Congress and more. Please check back often.
